Visit Your Loved Ones
Starr County Hospital would like to welcome all family members and friends to visit their loved ones. Our visiting hours are from 9 AM central time through 9 PM Central time.
Children Under 12:
Children under the age of 12 are not permitted into the patient's room. This policy is in place to protect the children from any exposure to harmful diseases. At this young age children are especially vulnerable to contracting a disease.
If the patient is ambulatory they are more than welcome to walk or be wheeled out by either a family member or nursing staff to the lobby or lounge area to visit with family members who are not allowed to enter the patient's room. The ability for the patient to leave his or her room will be dependent on the Physicians' orders and the nurses' recommendation.
Please limit number of guests in room to 2 at a time.
We also ask that only two visitors be present in the patient's room at any given time. This is done for patient safety and so that our health care staff can have sufficient room to work and respond in case of an emergency.
If you have questions, please consult with hospital staff.
We also ask if you plan to bring outside food please consult with the nursing staff before you do. Many of the patients can be on a restricted diet and any deviation from said diet can be detrimental to the patients' health.
We thank you ahead of time for your cooperation and again thank you for making us your choice in providing the health care needs of your loved ones.
