Medical Technologist MT-MLT - Laboratory
Two (2) Medical Technologist Positions
Works as a Medical Technologist in Rio Grande City, TX. (1) Collect, process, and identify specimens; (2) Perform laboratory tests including chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, serology/immunology, Blood Bank, and bacteriology in the hospital setting to determine presence of normal or abnormal components for the purpose of diagnosis and treatment of diseases; (3) Prepare reagent, perform quality control, operate, calibrate, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and perform minor repairs on all laboratory equipment used in quantitative or qualitative analysis or computer-controlled Analyzers; (4) Document all activities or enter data from analysis of medical test or clinical results into computer for storage; (5) Observe hospital and laboratory policies and procedures and regulatory standards.
Bachelor’s in Medical Technology. One (1) year experience as a Medical Technologist. Certified or eligible for certification by the American Medical Technologist (AMT) or American Society for Clinical Pathologist (ASCP). EOE.
