Hospital Operator/911 Dispatcher
JOB SUMMARY: Performs the functions of the switchboard including handling internal and external telephone calls, requests for information, operating the paging system, answering the 911 system and providing related assistance and record keeping service.
EDUCATION: High School Graduate or Equivalent.
LICENSURE,REGISTRY OR CERTIFICATION: Preferred.
EXPERIENCE: One year experience working with the public is preferred.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Duties of the position require clear, understandable speech and the ability to hear. Long periods of sitting required with frequent response to calls on switchboard.
